Methodology

Our rules are fixed before results are collected and applied the same way to every firm.

Verification

Reviewers are verified against public SEC filings before an invitation is issued. We confirm the company is US-listed, that it falls under the market cap threshold, and that the role is consistent with the public record.

One company, one count

A company counts once per firm. If several executives from the same company rate the same firm, their answers are averaged into a single company-level rating before any score is calculated.

Publication threshold

A firm's score is published only when at least five distinct companies have rated it. Below that threshold we show "Limited data" and no numbers. Every score that meets the threshold is published, whether it is high or low. Firms cannot pay to appear, to be removed, or to change a result.

The Issuer's Choice Ranking

Each firm's Issuer's Choice Ranking runs from 0 to 100. It is the average of the overall, quality, responsiveness and value ratings, rescaled from the one to five answer range. We also report the percentage of companies that said they would hire the firm again.

Right of reply

Before publication, rated firms may submit a response of up to 200 words or report a factual error. Responses are published alongside the score.

Not for profit

IssuerVoice is not done to make a profit.
